Ok folks, I finally got the car out with the top down on a bright sunny day. I decided the red was a bit too bright, and the satin black put a bit of glare on the windshield. I have a can of black Plasti-dip spray that I did my visors with. It matches the interior quite well, so I'm going to try that on the top of the boomerang. As long as it holds up to the sun, it should look good. As for the face, I found some burgundy metallic that should more closely match the embroidery in the seats and mats. It's a good thing this is only paint. Easy and relatively cheap to change, if you don't like it. Here's a pic of it apart, with more to follow when it's done.
