Dejon IC Pipes Rubbing,,

I installed the Dejon Ic pipes and they are rubbing against the hood
Passengers side, front. I think it's meeting one of the hood bolts. The problem is that I've already cut the bolts down some and pushed the IC pipe toward the center of the car as much as possible. It's just a little round rub spot on the passengers side front ,, just where the pipe bends to go down to the intercooler.
Has anyone had an issue like this? and if so what did you do to resolve it?

Wink

Yep, mine rub in the same spot. Put some 3M protective film on the pipe.
I don't think it's a big deal.

Having same problem also. I think it is movement when the car is running not sure if there is "torque" on pipes when you accelerate hard but not rubbing from being to close to bolts when hood is closed as far as I can tell. I have found if you put a small piece of tape on the bolts the rubbing stops.

If you guys are running the stock air box you have to trim some of the plastic off the edges , where the airbox bolts down. then you can push the pipes down farther. I also had to trim part of my hood support with a dremel tool. I saw quite a few cars at Nashville that were rubbing on the hoods. Mine havent rubbed since i did the above trimming. Good luck

Dejon IC Pipe Rub Spot

Here is a pic of the actually rub spot on the pipe. This is not my actual image I copied this image from a post on the Solstice forum but it distinctly shows the rub spot. Mine is in the exact spot as this one. It has nothing to do with the stock air box at least not on mine because I have a CIA

Dejon has a fix for it on their web site, this is their picture.
It is caused by the clearance between the hood bracket, to fix that you have to knotch the airbox right below the pipe.

Problem Found

These images are from the Solstice forum showing where the rubbing is coming from. I filed mine down and put some black touch paint on it no more rubbing so far.
